Known Scams | How to Spot and Avoid Phishing Emails

This article helps you recognize and avoid scam or phishing emails that might pretend to be from Thamara Cloud or our partners.

We also provide an example of a fake message and steps you can take to protect your account.

Protect Your Account and Data

Always be cautious with emails that:

  • Use a generic greeting like “Dear Customer” instead of your name.
  • Ask you to click a link or enter details on a website other than thamara.cloud.
  • Claim you must make a payment, renewal, or verification immediately.
  • Contain spelling or formatting errors.
  • Come from an email that doesn’t end in @thamara.cloud.

Legitimate emails from Thamara Cloud will always come from our verified domain — for example:

no-reply@thamara.cloud, billing@thamara.cloud, or support@thamara.cloud.

If you ever doubt an email, log in directly to your dashboard at https://thamara.cloud to verify your account status instead of clicking email links.

Example of a Phishing Email (For Awareness)

This is an example of a fake renewal email that’s been reported by users.

Do not click any links in similar messages — this example is for training only.

 Why This Email Is Fake

  • The sender address is not from @thamara.cloud.
  • It uses a generic greeting (“Dear Customer”).
  • The link doesn’t lead to https://thamara.cloud.
  • It creates urgency and fear (“within 24 hours”) — a classic phishing tactic.
  • The domain name in the link looks unrelated or suspicious.

What To Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email

  1. Do not click any links or attachments.
  2. Check the sender domain carefully.
  3. Log in directly to https://thamara.cloud to verify your account.
  4. Forward the message to our Security Team for review.
  5. Delete the email from your inbox after reporting.

Report a Scam or Suspicious Message

  • If you receive an email or message that looks suspicious, report it immediately to our Security Team. By doing so, you help us
  • Report to: [contact[@thamara.cloud]]()
  • Response time: within 24 hours on business days
  • What we do: Investigate, alert users if needed, and block known malicious domains or senders.

Thank you for helping keep the Thamara Cloud community safe and secure.
