How to Limit Outgoing Messages in Plesk (Outgoing Mail Control)

Overview

The Outgoing Mail Control feature in Plesk allows administrators to set limits on the number of emails sent per hour by each domain, mailbox, or subscription.

This feature helps protect your server’s reputation by preventing spam or excessive outgoing messages that could cause blacklisting.

  •  For normal usage, set 100–200 emails/hour per mailbox.
  • Avoid setting the limit to Unlimited, as it increases spam risk.
  • Regularly check Mail Logs to identify accounts that reach their limit frequently.
