How to Extract Files in cPanel

Overview

Managing your website files efficiently helps improve organization, backup, and transfer speed. Thamara Cloud’s File Manager in cPanel allows you to easily compress (ZIP, TAR, GZ, RAR) or extract files directly from your hosting account — without the need for FTP or external software.

How to Extract a File

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. Click the File Manager icon under the Files section.
3. Locate the compressed file you wish to extract.
4. You can either click Extract from the top toolbar or right-click on the file and select Extract.

5. A popup will appear asking for the directory path where you want to extract the files.\Example: /public_html/backup/
6. Click Extract File(s).

7-Once extraction is complete, you’ll see a confirmation window showing the extracted files.
