How to Add Custom DNS Records in Plesk

  • Log into Plesk Panel

Go to your Plesk login page and enter your username and password.


 

 

 

  • Go to DNS Settings

◦ From the left sidebar, click on Websites & Domains.

◦ Scroll down and click Hosting & DNS, then click DNS option.

 

  • Add a New DNS Record

◦ Here you'll see a list of all existing DNS records for your domain.

◦ Click the Add Record button at the top of the page.

◦ A new window will appear asking you to choose the record type.

  • Choose the Record Type

Select the type of DNS record you want to add:

◦ A Record: Points your domain/subdomain to an IP address.

◦ CNAME Record: Points your subdomain to another domain name.

◦ MX Record: Directs email traffic to your mail server.

◦ TXT Record: Adds verification or security information (SPF, DKIM, etc.).

  • Fill in the Record Details

◦ Enter the Domain name / Host name (e.g., www, mail, or @).

◦ Enter the Target/Value (e.g., IP address or domain).

◦ Click OK or Apply to save your new record.

  • Confirm and Apply Changes

◦ After saving, click Update to apply changes to your DNS zone.

◦ It may take up to 24 hours for DNS propagation to complete globally.
