Can I connect my domain to external hosting?

 

Yes, you can connect your domain purchased from Thamara to any external hosting by updating the DNS records or nameservers accordingly.

How can I check if my domain has privacy enabled?



You can check your domain’s WHOIS record from your Thamara client area or by using any public WHOIS lookup tool.

If your personal details are hidden or replaced by Thamara’s privacy details, then your domain privacy is active

How can I renew my domain?


You can renew your domain anytime from your Thamara client area.

Go to Domains → Manage Domain → Renew, then choose your renewal period.

We also recommend enabling auto-renewal to avoid losing your domain

How do I check my domain’s WHOIS information?


You can use the WHOIS lookup tool on Thamara’s website to view your domain’s registration details and expiration date.

What is Domain Lock and how can I disable it when transferring my domain?


Most domains are protected by a Registrar Lock (also called transfer lock) to prevent unauthorized transfers. To move your domain, simply

unlock it from your current registrar’s dashboard, get the EPP/Auth code, and start the transfer at Thamara.

What is the EPP (Authorization) code and where can I find it?



The EPP or Authorization code is a unique key used to transfer your domain to another registrar and You can get your EPP/Auth code from your domain management panel (Manage Domain → Get EPP Code). Make sure your domain is unlocked before requesting it. If you can’t find

the option, contact Thamara Support and we’ll guide you through it.

Can I change the contact details of my domain?


Yes, you can update your domain’s contact information (owner, admin, billing, or technical) directly from your client area.

Note: Some updates may require email verification depending on the domain extension.

Can I enable or disable domain auto-renewal?


Yes, you can enable or disable auto-renew from your Thamara client area: 

Client Area → Domains → Manage → Auto-Renew (On/Off).

Can I transfer my domain to Thamara ?


Yes, you can easily transfer your domain to Thamara. Make sure your domain is unlocked and that you have the EPP/authorization code from your current registrar. The process typically takes 3–5 days.

Does Thamara offer DNS Management for domains?


Yes, Thamara provides free DNS management for all registered domains. You can add, edit, or delete records like A, CNAME, MX, and TXT

directly from your client area

How can I connect my domain to my hosting plan at Thamara?


Once you purchase your domain and hosting plan, simply update your domain’s nameservers to Thamara’s nameservers.

You’ll find them listed in your hosting service details inside the client area.

How do I update my nameservers?


You can update your nameservers directly from your Thamara client area.

Go to Domains → Manage Domain → Nameservers, then enter the new records and save. Changes may take a few hours to propagate.

How long does DNS propagation take?


DNS propagation usually takes from a few minutes up to 24 hours, depending on the caching policies of global ISPs.

In most cases, it completes within 2–6 hours, but it may take up to 48 hours to appear everywhere.

Is Domain Privacy included for free?


Yes, Thamara includes domain privacy protection with all eligible domains at no extra cost. You don’t need to purchase it separately

— it’s automatically applied when your domain supports WHOIS privacy.

What happens if my domain expires? Is there a grace period?

Domains are registered for 1 year by default (up to 10 years). After expiry, there’s usually a short grace period followed by a Redemption Grace Period (RGP) of about 30 days. During that time, the domain can be restored for an additional fee. To avoid losing your domain,

enable auto-renewal in your client area.

What happens if my domain is suspended or disabled?


Domains are usually suspended if they expire, have invalid WHOIS data, or violate policies. Contact Thamara Support to resolve the issue and reactivate your domain.

What is Domain Privacy Protection?

Domain Privacy Protection, also known as WHOIS Privacy, hides your personal contact details (such as your name, phone number, and email) from public WHOIS databases.

Instead, Thamara’s privacy service details are shown, protecting you from spam, data theft, and unwanted contact.

What’s the difference between Registrar Lock and Registry Lock?



·       Registrar Lock: Set by your registrar to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can unlock it yourself.

·       Registry Lock: A higher-level lock applied by the domain registry. It requires manual verification to disable and is not available for all TLDs.
