Adding New Domains and Subdomains in Plesk

This guide explains how Thamara can add new domains, subdomains, domain aliases, and forwarding domains in Plesk.

Adding a New Domain in Plesk

After you add a domain, you can create subdomains and aliases for it.

Step-by-Step

1- Log in to Plesk.


2- In the left sidebar, click “Websites & Domains.”

3- Click “Add Domain.”


4- The Adding New Domain Name page appears.

----> In the Domain name text box, type the domain name (e.g., thamara.com).

----> In Hosting type, select one:

 ---> Website hosting

 ---> Forwarding

 ---> No hosting


5- Ensure “Activate the DNS service” and “Activate the mail service” are selected.


6- Review the Document root and Preferred domain fields under Hosting Settings.

-----> Note:

----> Document root is where website files are stored.

---->Preferred domain helps with SEO redirection (e.g., www or non-www).


7- Click OK.


Adding a New Subdomain

Subdomains let you host sections of your website like blog.thamara.com or shop.thamara.com.

Steps

1- In the sidebar, click Websites & Domains.

2- Click “Add Subdomain.”


3- Enter your Subdomain name (e.g., Test) and choose the Parent domain (e.g., thamara.info).

4- Review the Document root value.

5- Click OK to add the subdomain.
